Clara is doing really well. She has grown so much. She is almost to the point where she can sit up. She holds her head on her own and recognizes when someone is smiling at her and will grin right back. She has started to do a little laugh and will even try to imitate your words. She fussed the other day from her crib and Lagenna said it sounded like she dais Daddy. It's so amazing, I have no words. When you lean over her crib when she's woke up and she looks and sees you then gives you a huge smile!!! Being a Dad is so amazing!!!
Well now for the pics...
The first one is Lagenna holding Clara. Not sure what was happening... just seemed like a good photo op.
The second was when Clara got the bottle for the first time. The mother isn't supposed to offer it so I got to do it. It's a special bottle that isn't supposed to cause nipple confusion. She took it right away and finished it all.
The third one was the same way as the first. Just semed like a god photo op. Clara was easy to get laughin. I was making silly sounds and she liked it aparently.
The last one is just another mother daughter pic. You can see in this one how alert she is. She loves to be carried around and she just looks at everything.
Anyway... she is growing too fast for me!!! I feel like I'm going to miss things. I always could comprehend how my folks felt as parents but you never understand until you have your own!!! I have never been more proud of my accomplishments than I do being a father!!!

Clara's first trip
Here is Clara ready to head to her Great Papa and Grandma Jinks farm then on to her Papa and Grandma Bennett's. Was normally a 3 hour drive but we had to stop for about an hour so Clara could eat. She traveled really well. Slept most of the way. Such a good girl!!!
Here was Clara in her nice clothes. Grandma wanted a family picture.

Millie
Millie has been jealous lately of the new attention stealer. It's taking some getting used to. She's doing her stand trick in the bottom pic. She's been really good around her.
A few days shy of a month
Thought I'd post a few new pics. Clara will be a month old on Wed. next week. She weighed a little over 11 lbs at her last doctor's appt. Unfortunately she has an infection called Thrush so we're treating that with medicine that turns her mouth a purple blue color. She's been holding her head up and is verly alert! She'll be walking and driving before I know it!!!

Another pic. of Clara
Here's some pics off my phone. As I said last time I have a bunch more, just haven't had time to upload them yet! The two top ones are her in her sleep sack... the bottom one is her in her white and purple footed pjs. We've started putting her to bed in those rather than wraping her in a blanket. She likes to wiggle around too much and I don't think she likes being confined.

Whew... ok time to play catch up on here
A lot has happened since the last post. I'm now officially a father!!! Lagenna gave birth to our daughter on Mon (7/26). Clara was 9 lbs 5.5 oz. She is absolutely amazing and I am truly blessed to have these wonderful women in my life!!!
Here's a rundown of the pics.
There's Lagenna. We went to Red Robin for lunch after church Sunday. She was starting to have contractions early that morning. They got stonger as the day went on. About midnight was when she really started laboring. We stayed up all night and around 6 in the morning we went to the hospital. It's all a blur know, and looking back, for me, it went quick. But at the time it really did seem like it was never going to happen. Lagenna did an awesome job, she handled it very well and I am extremely proud of her!
This is our daughter Clara Elaine! She was a week and 5 days over due... but she came when she was ready and she's perfect (in my opinion). It's sooo incredible to hold her. I don't know how to describe the sensation. It's just amazing to hold someone that is completely dependent on you, and that you can see your traits in. Everytime I hold her the harder it is to let her go! Words cannot describe how proud I feel of my family!
Anyway... I have a ton more pics that I'll try and load shortly. Just wait till she starts crawling... I'll max out the blog with pics I'm sure!!!!

Nananana bat dog!!!
Millie the super dog!!! Her super power... an incredible ability to hear you get into her treat bag!!!
Finally!!!
Well I finally got my phone to do mobile uploads... so here's some pics.
There's mom and dad waiting for their crabs at Joes Crab Shack.
That's Lagenna a couple weeks ago. As of today she has 11 days left to her due date.
This was a trip awhile back, Millie gets restless on long rides so she was siting in my lap looking out the window.
And there's Millie being a good girl smiling for the camera!
I have more pictures I'll load shortly, and a more recent one of Lagenna as well!!!
Enjoy!!!!!
